Encounter with a Juvenile Garden Snake During a Beachside Getaway
During a recent vacation at an Airlie Beach hotel, I experienced an unexpected encounter with a small garden snake, which turned out to be quite memorable. Accompanied by my mother and a family friend, I was enjoying the serene surroundings when this tiny reptile unexpectedly made an appearance.
The young snake appeared nearby, seemingly curious and unbothered by our presence. My instinct was to gently pick it up to observe it more closely, as I find such creatures fascinating. However, my mother was understandably alarmed by the sighting, prompting us to take immediate action to ensure safety.
In an effort to encourage the snake to retreat, our family friend resorted to gently tapping the wall with his thong, a makeshift method to guide the little visitor away from our vicinity. Ultimately, the snake slithered back into the greenery, allowing us to continue our day without further incident.
