Australia’s weather can be quite challenging. For about half the year, from mid-April to mid-November, conditions are more comfortable. The rest of the time, it’s often too hot to venture outside during the day, with only the early morning and late evening being pleasant. While bundling up can be tricky, shedding layers is much easier. Other countries are fortunate to enjoy sunshine without the extreme heat we experience here. Additionally, with our high UV indexes, Australia sadly holds the title for the highest rates of skin cancer in the world.

  1. I can understand your frustration with the weather in Australia, especially during the hotter months. It can be tough to deal with extreme heat and high UV levels. Many people seek relief in air conditioning or by spending time indoors during the hottest parts of the day. On the flip side, the Australian climate does have its perks, like beautiful beaches and outdoor activities during the cooler months. It’s all about finding ways to adapt and enjoy what each season has to offer. Plus, the emphasis on sun safety and awareness of UV exposure can help mitigate the risks. Have you found any strategies or local spots that make those hot months more bearable?
