MTC Parklea

Hello, everyone!

I’m reaching out to see if anyone here has experience with or is currently employed at MTC Parklea Correctional Facility.

I completed my medical assessment a week ago but haven’t received any updates since then.

Could anyone share insights on the typical duration of the recruitment process for a correctional officer trainee? How many weeks should I expect to wait for news about my application? Thank you!

  1. Hi there!

I haven’t worked at MTC Parklea, but I’ve heard from others who have gone through the recruitment process there. Generally, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months to get through the entire process, including medical assessments and background checks. It varies depending on how many applicants they have and the specific needs of the facility at the time.

Typically, it’s a good idea to give it at least 2-3 weeks after the medical assessment before following up. If you haven’t heard anything by then, you can reach out to their HR or recruitment team for an update. Best of luck with your application! Let us know how it goes!
