Housing/Rental Crisis in Melbourne

I’m finding it really difficult to save money as most of my earnings are going towards rent. With inflation and rising living costs, my savings seem to dwindle even faster. It’s been hard to put aside any funds for a house deposit. Is anyone else in Melbourne facing similar challenges? Does anyone know what percentage of people here are living paycheck to paycheck?
