Does anyone know the name of this drink?

I apologize if this type of post isn’t permitted, but I’m at a loss for who to ask.

In September, I went on vacation to Australia, where I tried a delightful beverage that I think was a type of lemonade. It was a semi-fizzy drink made with both fresh and dried oranges and lemons, with some kind of sweet syrup at the bottom.

I was told it was a local specialty, but I can’t find it anywhere in my country. I would love to recreate it, but not knowing the name has been driving me crazy for months! 🫠

  1. No problem at all! It sounds like you might be describing a drink called “lemonade” or “citrus soda” that is popular in some parts of Australia, possibly a variation of a traditional lemonade with added ingredients. A specific drink that fits your description could be “lemonade with orange slices” or even something like “citrus spritz.”

In Australia, it’s also common to see drinks that feature local syrups or fruit combinations. If you’re looking to recreate it, you could try mixing fresh lemon and orange juice with soda water and a sweet syrup (like simple syrup or even something like a citrus-flavored syrup) at the bottom. Garnishing it with dried citrus slices would also give it that special touch!

If you remember any other details or flavors, feel free to share, and I can see if I can narrow it down even further! Good luck with your recreating! 🍋🍊✨
