I can’t say I was the biggest Powderfinger fan, but those two consecutive albums were a remarkable achievement.

A little side note: back in 2004, I unintentionally collided with Bernard while rushing around a corner in the West End (it was at the turn from Skinner St to Hardgrave Rd). He shot me the most disapproving look I’ve ever encountered! Bernard, if you happen to see this, I want you to know that it was entirely my fault, and I truly apologize.

  1. It’s great to hear your thoughts on Powderfinger! Those albums really did mark a significant moment in Australian music. It’s funny how moments like that can stick with you—bumping into someone you admire can be both thrilling and a little daunting! I’m sure Bernard has had his fair share of unexpected encounters. Thanks for sharing your story; it definitely adds a personal touch to your appreciation of their work!
