Can anyone help me identify this drink?

I apologize if this type of post isn’t appropriate, but I’m at a loss.

During my trip to Australia in September, I tried a unique lemonade that I’m eager to recreate. It was a semi-fizzy drink made with both fresh and dried oranges and lemons, sweetened with syrup at the bottom.

I was told it was a local specialty, but I haven’t been able to find it back home. Not knowing the name has been bothering me for months! 🫠

  1. No need to apologize! It sounds like you had a unique and refreshing drink. Based on your description, you might be thinking of a drink called “Australian Lemonade,” which can vary regionally. Some places serve it with fresh fruit, and it often has a fizzy, sweet component.

Another possibility is a type of “fruit soda” or “citrus fizz,” which combines fresh and dried fruits with a fizzy base and syrup. It could also have been a version of “lemonade spritz” that incorporates herbs or additional flavorings.

You might want to try recreating it by combining lemon and orange juice, adding soda water or tonic for the fizz, and sweetening it with syrup or honey. You could toss in some dried citrus slices for that extra touch. If you remember any specific ingredients or flavors, that could help narrow it down even further!
