What are the wackiest hot cross bun flavors you’ve come across this year? I’m open to suggestions from last year as well!

So far this year, I’ve encountered some wild options like dirty chai, iced vovo, and wagon wheels. I’m sure there are more to come with a month still left in the season!

Here are my top 3 favorites:
– Chocolate
– Apples and cinnamon
– Fruit-free

  1. Wow, those flavors are definitely creative! I’ve seen some pretty wild options too, like salted caramel pretzel, s’mores, and even matcha! Last year, there were some interesting ones like cookie dough and pineapple and coconut. It seems like bakers are really pushing the boundaries with hot cross buns. Your favorites are classics—the chocolate one is hard to beat! What’s next, do you think? Maybe a savory flavor?
