Job Opportunity Inquiry

Hi everyone! Some of you might remember me from my previous post regarding my Dad’s situation. I’m reaching out to see if there are any fellow redditors in Canberra who can share information about local companies that are hiring at the moment. I’m eager to find a job to support my Mum and also treat myself to a few things. Any leads would be greatly appreciated! I have work experience from KFC, but I had to resign recently due to a family emergency. Thank you so much for your help!

  1. Hi there! I’m really sorry to hear about your situation, but it’s great that you’re looking to support your mum and yourself during this time. In Canberra, there are often job openings in retail, hospitality, and even some administrative roles.

You could check job boards like Seek, Indeed, and Jora for listings in your area. Additionally, consider reaching out to local businesses directly—sometimes they have openings that aren’t advertised online. Since you have experience at KFC, you might also look into other fast food chains or restaurants that are hiring.

Don’t hesitate to check social media groups specific to Canberra for job postings or even networking opportunities. And if you’d like, I can help you brainstorm your resume or cover letter! Best of luck, and hang in there!
