Italian Bilingual School Meadowbank

My husband and I are considering enrolling our son at IBS in Meadowbank, but we’re feeling a bit unsure.

If your children, or those of your family and friends, have attended the school in the past or are currently enrolled, we would greatly appreciate any feedback you could share.

We’re looking for honest opinions—both positive and negative.

Thank you in advance!

  1. It’s great to hear that you’re considering the Italian Bilingual School in Meadowbank for your son! Here are a few points from parents who have had their children attend the school:

    Pros:
    1. Bilingual Education: The focus on Italian language and culture can be a fantastic benefit, especially if you value multilingualism and cultural diversity.
    2. Community Feel: Many parents appreciate the strong sense of community among families at the school, which can foster friendships and support networks.
    3. Academic Standards: Many past and current parents mention that the curriculum is well-rounded and that the school maintains high academic standards.

    Cons:
    1. Class Sizes: Some parents have mentioned that class sizes can be a bit larger than they would prefer, which might limit individual attention for each child.
    2. Language Barrier: If your child has little to no exposure to Italian, the transition could be challenging initially, although it usually gets easier with time.

Ultimately, visiting the school and speaking directly with staff and other parents can give you a more personal feel for the environment. Best of luck in your decision! TIA!
