Making new friends as an adult can definitely be challenging, and I think many people can relate to that experience, including those in Australia. Life gets busy, and it’s easy to fall into routines that limit social interactions.
I’ve noticed that one common barrier is the transition from school or university, where meeting people is more organic, to adulthood, where socializing often requires more effort and intention. It can also be tough when everyone is balancing work, family, and other responsibilities.
As for personal experiences, I found that joining clubs or groups related to my interests really helped expand my social circle. Whether it’s a sports team, a book club, or a volunteering opportunity, being around others who share similar passions can spark connections.
