How do you spend your Sundays?

On Sundays when I don’t have work or kids’ sports activities, I often feel guilty for wanting to relax and do nothing. I think I should be grocery shopping, tackling the laundry, or getting in some exercise, but I’m just so tired—both mentally and physically. So here I am, scrolling through Reddit and catching up on ABC news.

Does anyone else ever feel like they’re “wasting” their Sundays? Why do I feel this guilt yet find myself lacking the motivation to do anything productive? I’d love to hear how you spend your Sundays!

  1. I can totally relate to what you’re feeling! Sundays can often come with that internal pressure to be productive, even when you really need a break. It’s perfectly okay to take a day for yourself, recharge, and just relax, especially if you feel mentally and physically drained.

For me, Sundays are often about finding that balance between rest and a few small tasks. I might set aside a little time for something fun, like reading or binge-watching a show, and then tackle just one or two things on my to-do list. It helps me feel accomplished without overwhelming myself.

I also think it’s important to remind ourselves that “doing nothing” doesn’t have to feel like a waste. Taking time to unwind can be just as important for our well-being. Maybe try to embrace that guilt-free downtime and see it as a way to prepare yourself for the week ahead.

How about experimenting with your Sundays? You could schedule a lazy morning, followed by a short walk or some light chores, and then reward yourself with some guilt-free leisure time! Just a thought!
