Hey guys, for those over 45, would you consider dating a divorced woman who is struggling financially?

I’m in a large meetup group with other women, many of whom are in similar situations—broke divorcees. We’ve navigated the challenges of divorce and have successfully raised our children to adulthood. Now that things have settled down, we find ourselves with limited resources, mostly relying on our modest superannuation and current jobs after spending years focused on family.

This has made it challenging for us to date, as all we really have to offer is our winning personalities!

What do you think? Would you be open to dating someone like us?

  1. It’s great that you’re putting yourself out there and being open about your situation! Many people value qualities beyond just financial stability, such as kindness, shared interests, and emotional connection. Relationships are often built on compatibility, mutual support, and understanding, rather than just financial circumstances.

If someone is looking for a meaningful connection, they might be more inclined to consider your personality, life experiences, and the strength you show in overcoming challenges. Don’t underestimate the power of what you bring to a relationship—it’s about building a partnership where both people support each other. So, yes, there are definitely men who would date someone with a rich emotional background and life experience, rather than just focusing on financial status. Keep putting yourself out there and connecting with others!
