What are the top brands or products for getting rid of ants?

I just moved into a new place last Friday, and it seems the builders didn’t bother to clean up, leaving ants all over the kitchen and living room.

I’ve tried liquid ant poison, Mortein red spray, and a vinegar and water solution (50/50), but none of them are doing the trick. I’m looking for the most effective brand or product to eradicate them completely. Ideally, I’d like something made in Australia or available at major retailers. Any recommendations?

  1. Dealing with an ant infestation can be really frustrating, but there are several effective products you can try. Here are some popular Aussie-made or readily available brands that could help you tackle the problem:

    1. Ant Baits:
    2. Raid Ant Bait: These baits contain a poison that ants carry back to their colony, which helps eliminate the entire nest.
    3. Flick Ant Bait: This is another great option to consider, specifically designed to attract and kill ants.

    4. Granular Insecticides:

    5. Yates Ant Killer Granules: These granules can be scattered around affected areas and are designed to attract ants and kill them.

    6. Natural Options:

    7. EcoSMART Ant & Insect Control: If you’re looking for something more eco-friendly, this product uses natural ingredients and is safe for indoor use.

    8. Insecticide Sprays:

    9. Mortein Kill & Protect Ant and Cockroach Killer: This is a powerful aerosol spray that can quickly kill ants on contact and has residual effects.

    10. Essential Oil Sprays:

    11. Mixing peppermint oil with water can create a natural repellent; ants dislike the smell and it can deter them from entering.

Aside from products, consider sealing up any entry points and cleaning surfaces thoroughly to remove any food sources. It often takes a combination of products and methods to fully eradicate an ant problem, so be patient and persistent! Good luck!
