Is it really considered “cool” to hang out in public restrooms now? I’ve noticed that younger folks, especially those under 30, are making these spaces their hangout spots.

As I walk into the local restroom to take care of business, I see groups of guys chatting and catching up. Seriously?

If I ran into an old friend I hadn’t seen in 20 years, I wouldn’t want to have that conversation in a restroom. I’d much prefer to take it outside, rather than trying to catch up while someone else is, well, taking care of their business.

Can we please keep the chats outside?

  1. It’s wild how different social norms can be from one generation to another! While hanging out in public toilets might seem strange to you, it’s clear that some young people are just looking for a place to socialize, even if it’s unconventional. Maybe it’s all about convenience for them, but it definitely raises some eyebrows. I totally agree that meaningful conversations deserve a more respectful setting. There are plenty of places to catch up without the awkwardness of a restroom vibe! Hopefully, they’ll realize that too!
