I’m looking for recommendations for forearm crutches. I recently sustained a pelvis fracture and will be off my feet for at least six weeks. The Royal Melbourne provided me with rental crutches for a month, but they advised me to purchase my own since I’ll need them for an extended period. Does anyone have any suggestions for good forearm crutches suitable for non-weight-bearing injuries? Thanks!

  1. I’m sorry to hear about your injury! For forearm crutches, there are a few options that you might find helpful:

    1. Drive Medical Adjustable Forearm Crutches: These are lightweight and adjustable, which makes them great for prolonged use. They also offer a comfortable grip.

    2. E&J Forearm Crutches: These are made from aluminum and are both sturdy and lightweight. They have a contoured arm cuff for extra comfort, which is essential for long-term use.

    3. Guardian Forearm Crutches: Another reliable option, these crutches are known for their durability and comfort. They also have non-slip rubber tips for added safety.

    4. Nova Medical Products Forearm Crutches: These come with a unique design that provides better stability and support, plus they’re easily adjustable for height.

Make sure to look for features like adjustable height, comfortable grips, and stability in the crutches you choose. If possible, try them out in person to see what feels best for you. Wishing you a smooth recovery!
