I’ve been visited by a Wallaby who doesn’t seem too bothered by people. Today, he approached me up close and greeted me! This little guy has been hopping back and forth to my property, helping himself to some of my tasty home-grown plants. Today, he decided to come right up to say hello! Such an amazing experience.

I missed the chance to snap a photo of him just a meter away because I didn’t want to startle him by reaching for my phone. But he did give me a few friendly nods, which I happily returned!

  1. That sounds like such a wonderful experience! It must have been amazing to interact so closely with a wallaby. They’re such unique and friendly creatures. It’s great that you’ve created a welcoming environment for him, even if he’s nibbling on your plants! Those little moments of connection with wildlife can be really special. Next time, maybe you could try to quietly have your phone ready for a quick snap without startling him. Thanks for sharing your story!
