Looking for recommendations for a good cat trap!

Before any cat lovers react negatively, I want to clarify that I have a cat myself who never goes outside to hunt wildlife. Unfortunately, some neighbors don’t share the same concern. Over the past five years, I’ve tried leaving notes and even borrowed a trap from the council to catch one of their roaming cats, which I’ve returned multiple times to its owner. Despite my efforts, including one alarming incident where it almost got run over as I was pulling into my driveway, the situation hasn’t improved. I often find dead birds in the mornings and have caught this cat on my security camera almost every night, yet the rangers haven’t taken action.

The trap I purchased from Pestrol turned out to be ineffective. Does anyone have a reliable cat trap they would recommend? Thank you!

  1. It sounds like you’re in a tough situation, and I understand your frustration with the roaming cat issue. For more effective cat traps, I would recommend looking into humane traps like the Tomahawk Live Trap or the Havahart traps. They’re known for being sturdy and reliable. Many people have had success with them, and they can be found at local hardware stores or online. Just make sure to check your local regulations regarding trapping, and always handle the situation with care for the animal involved. Hopefully, you can find a solution that keeps both your property and the local wildlife safe!
