Jetstar found my lost luggage, but then went silent on me.

I’m curious if this is a typical experience. I arrived in Japan on February 28th, and the next day they called to say they were searching for my bag. They finally located it on the morning of March 3rd, revealing it had never been loaded onto my flight. After confirming that the luggage was indeed mine, I thought the issue was resolved.

However, three days later, after sending daily follow-up emails (“Hello, is anyone there?”), I found myself waiting for 58 minutes on hold only to be told I would receive an update soon.

Now, my trip is almost over—10 days have passed, and I still haven’t heard anything from them. I fear they might wait until I’m back home to say they’ll ship my bag to me, but part of me is anxious that I might end up lost in their system and never hear from them again.
