I just got a chance to see the new coins featuring Charles for the first time. It’s fascinating to note that his portrait is facing the opposite direction now. I think it’s quite charming that they can look at each other!

It’s definitely a fascinating change! The tradition of monarchs facing different directions on coins has a rich history, and it’s great to see that they’ve continued that by having Charles face towards Elizabeth. It adds a nice touch of continuity and connection between the two reigns. Plus, it’s interesting to think about the different designs and symbolism that come with each coin.
