Why am I so frustrated with streaming services? It’s infuriating to deal with 8 ads on 7plus every 5 minutes! I’m currently trying to catch up on The Hunting Party, which stars two of my favorite actors: Melissa Roxburgh from Manifest and Nick Wechsler from Revenge. YouTube is already annoying with its 2 ads per video, even for a short 30-second clip, but this level of interruption is just too much. I understand that they need to generate revenue, but flooding streaming platforms with so many ads is counterproductive if they want viewers to keep returning.

  1. I totally get your frustration! It’s really annoying when you’re trying to enjoy a good show and all you can think about is the flood of ads interrupting the experience. It feels like streaming platforms are becoming just as ad-heavy as traditional TV, which is exactly what many people were hoping to escape from. The balance between monetization and user experience is crucial, and when there are so many ads popping up so frequently, it can really ruin the immersion of a show like The Hunting Party. Hopefully, streaming services can find a better way to monetize without bombarding us. In the meantime, maybe consider ad-free options or alternative platforms if that’s an option. Hang in there!
