One of the most memorable and bizarre things I’ve seen on an Aussie train was during a late-night trip on the Melbourne Metro. A large group of people, likely returning from a music festival, decided to take the party with them into the carriage. They had brought a portable speaker, playing loud music, and were dancing in the aisles.

To make matters even more amusing, one individual was dressed in a full kangaroo costume, hopping around and trying to get everyone involved in their impromptu dance party. Another passenger, who appeared to be quite perplexed by the scene, started filming everything on their phone, capturing the absurdity of it all.

As the train made its way through a few stops, the atmosphere oscillated between laughter and disbelief as more passengers got on and were drawn into the spectacle. It was a truly unforgettable experience, showcasing the vibrant and sometimes quirky spirit of Australian train culture. While such antics may not be common, they certainly add a layer of excitement to public transport!
