Is Melbourne LGBTQ+ friendly? Where should we consider living?
My partner and I are both non-binary and are looking at relocating to Australia, with Melbourne catching our eye. I wanted to check in on how safe it is for us and if there is a vibrant queer or lesbian scene.
Additionally, I’d love to hear recommendations for good neighborhoods in Melbourne. We’ll be 25 when we move, and we’re looking for areas that offer activities and social opportunities, but ideally not right in the hustle and bustle of the city center. We’ve also thought about neighborhoods just outside of Melbourne for more affordable options, so any insights from locals would be greatly appreciated!
