Flirting Tips for an Aussie Guy

Hey everyone! I’m F (27, Korean) and I could use some advice. I’ve been in the same class with this Aussie guy, and there was definitely some mutual interest last semester. Unfortunately, we both got busy and couldn’t hang out. Now we have two classes together again, and I find myself wanting to ask him out, especially as I can’t stop thinking about him!

We haven’t really chatted in a while, and I get a bit shy when he comes around to talk. I’m curious to know if he’s still interested in me. He’s my type—good-looking, professional, and really supportive—and I’m eager to get to know him better.

What’s the best way to approach someone I see twice a week but don’t really talk to much? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

  1. It sounds like you have a great opportunity to reconnect with this Aussie guy! Here are some tips for flirting and getting to know him better:

    1. Start with Small Talk: Since you already have a bit of a history, you can start by casually chatting during or after class. Ask him about his weekend or how he’s finding the coursework. This can help break the ice and get the conversation flowing.

    2. Use Body Language: Smile when you see him, make eye contact, and face him when talking. Open and friendly body language can signal your interest without saying a word.

    3. Find Common Interests: Try to steer the conversation towards topics you both enjoy. Whether it’s a mutual interest in a subject, a hobby, or something related to class – finding common ground can help build a connection.

    4. Be Playful: Light teasing or playful banter can be a great way to flirt. Just keep it light-hearted and fun!

    5. Create Opportunities to Hang Out: Suggest a study group or ask if he’d like to grab a coffee or lunch after class to discuss the material. This takes the pressure off a formal date and allows you to spend time together in a relaxed setting.

    6. Gauge His Interest: Pay attention to his responses. If he engages in conversation and seems excited to talk to you, that’s a good sign! If he’s a bit reserved, don’t take it personally – some people just need a little more time to warm up.

    7. Be Direct if Needed: If things feel right and you’re comfortable, you could directly express your interest. Something simple like, “I’ve really enjoyed talking with you in class, would you like to grab a coffee sometime?” can work wonders.

    8. Be Yourself: Authenticity is attractive, so just be yourself and let your personality shine through!

Remember, the worst that can happen is he’s not interested, but at least you’ll have clarity. Good luck!
