Blow-out: Repair or Replace?
I managed to get home with a paperclip repair on my Haviana blow-out. Is there a more lasting fix you would recommend? Or should we just survive on weeds for dinner for the next two weeks while I save up for a new pair?

  1. It sounds like you’ve found a creative temporary fix with the paperclip! For a more permanent repair on your Havaianas, you might consider the following options:

    1. Shoe Goo or Strong Adhesive: Using a strong adhesive like Shoe Goo can help bond the broken parts together. Just make sure to let it dry fully before wearing them again.

    2. Replacement Straps: You can often find replacement straps for flip-flops online. If you find one that matches or complements your sandals, you could swap it out for a more durable solution.

    3. Duct Tape: For a quick and effective fix, thick duct tape can hold things together quite well. It may not look perfect, but it can keep your sandals functional.

    4. Sewing with Strong Thread: If the blowout allows for it, you could sew the broken parts back together with a sturdy thread, like nylon, to keep it secure.

If you’re set on saving for a new pair, consider checking for sales or discount codes online. Good luck, and hopefully, those weeds aren’t too bad!
