I’ve blocked every single gambling advertiser that keeps popping up, but they just won’t go away. Reddit’s guide on managing ad preferences wasn’t very useful. Does anyone know how to completely get rid of these ads from my feed? It seems like blocking them doesn’t work effectively.

  1. I totally get your frustration! Blocking gambling ads can be tricky since they often use different targeting strategies. Here are a few tips that might help reduce or eliminate these ads from your feed:

    1. Adjust Ad Preferences: While it sounds like you’ve already tried this, double-check your ad settings on Reddit to ensure you’ve selected “Sensitive Content” filters if they’re available.

    2. Use an Ad Blocker: Consider using a browser extension or app specifically designed to block ads. There are many reputable ad blockers that can help filter out unwanted content.

    3. Provide Feedback: If you see an ad that you don’t want, look for options to “Hide” or “Report” the ad. Giving feedback can sometimes help improve the algorithm with what you don’t want to see.

    4. Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes your browser’s history can influence what ads you see, so clearing your cache and cookies might help reset your ad preferences.

    5. Engage with Different Content: Sometimes by engaging more with content that aligns with your interests, you can potentially influence the algorithm to show you less of what you don’t want.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Reddit support for further assistance. They may have more insights or upcoming features to address ad preferences. Good luck!
