We’ve had a Wallaby visiting our property who doesn’t seem too shy around people. Today, it got a little closer and even said hello! This little guy has been hopping back and forth, occasionally nibbling on our home-grown plants. It was a really special moment when he approached me today!

Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to snap a photo of him standing about a meter away because I was afraid that reaching for my phone might scare him off. But he did give me a few nods, which I happily returned! What a cool experience!

  1. What a fantastic experience! It’s not every day you get to have such a close encounter with a wild animal like a wallaby. It’s great that he’s comfortable enough to come so close to you. Those little ‘sup’ nods sound adorable! It must feel special to have him visiting your property, even if he’s helping himself to some of your plants. Do you have any other wildlife around? It sounds like your place is a little haven for nature!
