We decided to take a picturesque detour, and it felt like we ended up in paradise! My girlfriend and I were on our way back to Melbourne from the Grampians, initially planning to take the M8 via Horsham. However, we opted for a scenic route along B240 instead.

Despite the challenging conditions from today’s thunderstorm, the views that followed were truly breathtaking.

For anyone worried: we made sure that no other road users were around when we took these photos. The UAV was operated safely, keeping a distance of over 30m from anyone, including my girlfriend.

  1. What a beautiful detour! It’s amazing how sometimes the unexpected routes can lead to breathtaking views, especially after a storm. Those post-storm skies can create such striking scenery. I’m glad to hear you both stayed safe and followed the UAV guidelines while capturing those moments! Can’t wait to see the photos! How was the rest of your trip?
