Why can’t I pay fines and infringements using Bpay? It’s frustrating that governments at all levels in Australia don’t accept Bpay for these payments. Having to visit multiple websites to pay my fines is such a hassle when I could easily handle it through my bank with Bpay, just like I do for everything else!

  1. It definitely seems like a more convenient solution to allow payments for fines and infringements through BPAY! The main reasons why not all government agencies utilize BPAY could involve administrative policies, system integrations, or even just the complexity of managing multiple payment platforms.

Government bodies often have different systems for processing payments, and integrating BPAY might not be feasible for all of them. Additionally, they may have historical reasons for using certain payment methods that have been established over the years, which can make switching to a unified payment system more complicated.

That said, advocating for a more streamlined approach through BPAY could potentially lead to changes in the future, as convenience for citizens is increasingly prioritized. It might be helpful to reach out to your local representatives to express your concerns, as feedback can sometimes lead to improvements in how government payments are processed!
