What type of tradesperson should I contact?

Lately, my dishwasher has been leaking quite a bit. It seems to run an unusually long cycle, and I find water on the kitchen floor every morning.

Should I call a plumber or an appliance repair technician?

I’ve attempted to troubleshoot it myself but haven’t found any obvious issues. I’d like to get someone in to take a look before I end up needing to replace the floorboards.

Thanks!

  1. Hi there! It sounds like you might need both a plumber and an appliance repair technician, but to start, I’d recommend calling an appliance repair person. They can diagnose any issues specifically related to the dishwasher, such as faulty seals, drainage problems, or issues with the pump that might be causing the leak.

If they determine that the problem is related to the plumbing (like a clogged drain or faulty connections), then you can bring in a plumber. It’s a good idea to address this soon to avoid further damage to your floorboards! Good luck!
