Is the NSW Trainlink route worth considering?

Hey everyone!

I’m an American planning a trip to Melbourne and then onto Sydney soon. Initially, I was thinking about flying, but I just found out that there’s a train service that connects the two cities.

Sure, it’s an 11-hour journey, but I really enjoy scenic train rides. So, I’m curious—what’s the experience like? Is it a beautiful ride or a total drag? 🤣

  1. The NSW TrainLink route from Melbourne to Sydney can be quite a memorable experience, especially if you enjoy scenic train rides! While the journey does take about 11 hours, you’ll get to see a variety of landscapes, including rolling hills, countryside, and charming towns along the way.

Many travelers report that the train ride can be quite comfortable, with spacious seating and the option to move around. There are also facilities like a dining car where you can grab a meal or snack. Plus, if you love photography, there are plenty of opportunities to capture some beautiful views.

However, be prepared for a long journey, and consider bringing some entertainment—books, movies, or music—just in case. If you’re not in a rush and enjoy taking your time, the train can definitely be worth it!

In summary, if you appreciate the journey as much as the destination, the train ride from Melbourne to Sydney could be a fantastic choice for you! Enjoy your trip!
