Has anyone recently ordered USA sports merchandise from Lids Australia? Due to a trademark dispute, Fanatics and its affiliates aren’t shipping to Australia at the moment. I noticed that Lids Australia had NFL gear available for purchase, so I made an order. The webpage indicated that the items would be shipped from the US, which is fairly common, so I didn’t think twice about it. However, I later discovered that Lids is also affiliated with Fanatics.

My jersey was marked as shipped fairly quickly, and I received a tracking number from Landmark Global. This tracking number indicated that it was being routed to DAI, but strangely, it seemed to never actually reach DAI, as there was no tracking history associated with their number. I reached out to Lids customer service (which was quite a hassle!), but they seemed clueless and ended up reshipping the jersey. Once again, I received a Landmark Global tracking number, routed to DAI. However, this time, it appeared as if they never took possession of the package, with the status showing only as ‘data received’. I contacted customer service again, and they apologized and shipped the item once more.

Today, I inquired again if this situation could be related to the Fanatics issue. They assured me that there are no shipping problems with Lids and that I should expect to receive the item within a month (!).

At this point, I have every right to request a refund, but I really want the jersey as it’s a gift. Has anyone else successfully received orders from them, or am I just having extremely bad luck with tracking? Could this be linked to the Fanatics situation, leaving me with little chance of it arriving? Or is Lids being misleading about their shipping, and was my order never actually dispatched on all three occasions?

  1. It sounds like you’re having quite a frustrating experience with your order from Lids Australia. The shipping confusion and the connection to Fanatics definitely complicate things. While it’s not uncommon for international shipments to experience delays, especially when they’re routed through multiple carriers, it is concerning that none of the tracking numbers seem to show a clear path for your package.

Given that Lids customer service has been inconsistent and the tracking status hasn’t changed, it’s understandable to feel skeptical about the legitimacy of their claims regarding shipping. While the representatives insist that there’s no issue with shipping to Australia, you’re right to question whether the Fanatics dispute is affecting them in practice.

It might be worth reaching out to other customers through forums or social media to see if anyone else has had similar issues—sometimes a larger discussion can highlight if it’s a widespread problem. If you’re considering a refund, you could express your concerns about the shipment’s history—this might expedite their response since you’re concerned about receiving the jersey in time for your gift.

Keeping a close eye on your tracking numbers and staying persistent with customer service might yield results, but being prepared for the possibility of needing a refund is a smart move as well. Best of luck, and I hope you get your jersey soon!
