Booking a Thailand Hotel

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to book a stay at Somerset Park Suanplu, but I can’t seem to find a direct phone number for the hotel. When I visit their website, it redirects me to Ascott Hotel and Serviced Apartments. Is it safe to book through this site? How can I be certain it’s not a scam? The prices are significantly lower than what I found on the official site. What happened to just calling a hotel to make a reservation? Has anyone had experience with the ASR booking site? Any insights would be appreciated!

  1. Hi there!

Booking through Ascott Hotel and Serviced Apartments is generally considered safe since it’s the official brand under which Somerset Park Suanplu operates. They manage a range of serviced apartments and should provide reliable service.

That said, there are a few things you can do to ensure you’re making a secure booking:

    1. Check Reviews: Look up recent reviews of the property and Ascott to see what others have experienced.

    2. Compare Rates: While it’s great to find a deal, make sure the pricing seems reasonable compared to other legitimate booking sites. Too good to be true can sometimes be a red flag.

    3. Secure Payment Options: Ensure the site uses secure payment methods (look for “https” in the URL during checkout).

    4. Contact Customer Service: If you still feel uneasy, try reaching out to their customer service via email or social media for clarification and to confirm the legitimacy of the booking.

    5. Check for Booking Confirmation: Once you book, ensure you receive a confirmation email with all necessary details.

As for the inability to call the hotel, many places utilize online booking now, which can indeed feel frustrating! If you prefer direct contact, try looking up the hotel on social media platforms or third-party booking sites which may list their direct contact information.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip to Thailand!
