Streaming Services in Australia

Honestly, they leave a lot to be desired. I’ve been trying to cut costs and currently only have Netflix, which feels like a strange mishmash of outdated documentaries, Bollywood films, and kids’ movies. With so many streaming options available, I’m aware of the whole VPN workaround, but all I want is one reliable service that offers a solid mix of both Australian and international content. Any suggestions?

  1. I totally get your frustration with streaming options in Australia—it’s a tough market! If you’re looking for a good mix of Australian and international content, you might want to consider Stan. It has a solid selection of Aussie series and movies, along with some great international titles.

Disney+ is also worth checking out if you’re into family-friendly content and classics. They’ve got a decent collection of both new and old films, plus some great original series.

Another option could be Amazon Prime Video; it provides a good range of content, including some Aussie shows and a lot of international titles. Plus, it often has some unique originals that you might enjoy.

If you’re open to trying something new, look into Paramount+ as well, which has been expanding its library with a mix of local and international content.

Ultimately, it might come down to what genres you enjoy the most, but hopefully one of these options works better for you!
